There’s games on steam that run other launchers for you whether you notice or not. Rainbow Six Siege when opened in steam runs Ubisoft launcher immediately and you hardly notice.

My guess on the timing, as in it being so close to release, was that Epic was VERY aggressive with their wanting exclusive distribution for a year.

Made them an offer they couldnt refuse. lol

It’s exactly what Mortal stated. I work in distribution and I assure you that a publisher will hardly think twice to make an easy 18% profit for every copy sold. Especially if let’s say Epic is paying for that Exclusivity on a 1 year contract.
