I have the boring daily driver and a boring race-car-in-the-making. Now all I need is the Mall Ninja Tow Vehicle (Tacoma with a stick or Ram Power Wagon) and the Weird JDM Fever Dream (currently looking at 80s HiAces).

Damn what your mother says, buy that $790 Geo Metro from the local Dodge dealer with your own money. If there’s something wrong with it you can learn to fix it, that was the point.

My 2007 Jeep Liberty Sport. Not only did I stupidly get into a 16-percent interest loan when I was still an E-3, I traded in my adored 2004 Buick LeSabre Limited which had just hit 100K miles, and took it over a WRX (which would have at least been more entertaining).

Having to explain why you like what you like and getting the reaction “Oh, you’re not a REAL enthusiast”.

I love it but I’m getting some contact high from all the crack in that pipe.

Well, damn, I missed another one.

I can’t really think of just one. Right now it would be a Toyota HiAce wagon with the factory 1UZ V8 option, or an 80s HiAce wagon with the column-shifted five-speed manual that I could then swap a 1UZ into. But tomorrow it could be a Focus RS.

I’m pushing 6'3" and 190. In the Fusion, I can lower the seat in its entirety, which gives me quite a lot more headroom than in the Buick. I actually got a few comments from people that I looked very cramped and uncomfortable in my Buick. I also find that although it can be stiff-legged at times (mostly due to the 18"

I had a 2005 Buick LeSabre, it was my third Buick. The Fusion rides better (arguably), handles better, gets better fuel economy (only about 28 mixed average so far with the EB, but my LeSabre never got better than 21 average), never loses speed up grades with cruise on (the LeSabre always lost 3-4 mph up hills, on

My new Fusion is better in every way...but I still occasionally pine for my Buicks.

Late to the party, but wasn’t the 1UZ-FE V8 a factory option (in ambulance models) on these?

Ugh, the things that rear wing does to me...

Came here to post this.

Honestly, I really don’t care about having a vehicle that can do 0-60 in 2 seconds, no matter what its power source is.

Does it have to be Cars and Coffee and/or “great” pictures? If not, then here’s one from a couple weeks ago when I took my new Fusion up on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Cosmo.

I am okay with this.

Sometimes I pronounce “Prelude” “PRE-lude”. Or “PRE-lewd.”

Buick LeSabres. I’m on my third. You can tell me that a Nimitz-class carrier handles better, I agree. You can tell me that while the 3800s (usually) last forever, every other imaginable random part will break, I agree. You can tell me that a Toyota Avalon or Lexus LS is now cheaper, more comfortable, faster, and way
