It seems like maybe you had a terrible professor and/or classmates, and I’m sorry for that. I won’t deny that there are anthropologists throughout history who have made racist studies and obviously they need to be shut down immediately, but that doesn’t mean the entire field is worthless or not credible.

I’m taking a biochem course now that has a ridiculously offensive textbook, the most recent edition of which (I’m reading) was published in 2012, so they should know better.
