Being in the vast minority doesn't make me wrong. Feminists are, worldwide, in the vast minority of people. Popularity =/= correctness.

Read up on your feminist history - it's not a new idea.

You can't have it both ways - if men can be feminists just as much as women, you can't then turn around and say it would be any better or worse for a man to be a spokesperson, lead the movement, etc.

I'm sorry, but you're argument consists of weighing actual, observed pros (better academic achievement and self-confidence outcomes for both sexes) with "cons" that you've posited in your own head by have no proof of. What's your actual evidence for the belief that just because someone goes through same sex education

You and I agree in that 1) yes, there will be men who support feminism (which is awesome!), and 2) at the end of the day, feminism as a movement does need the support of men (especially men in power).

If you admit that they can't lead the movement, then you admit that they're kind of a second-tier member. Which is my point. Call them "junior feminists" if you want, but they'll never (and they shouldn't) have the same status in the movement as a woman, in my opinion.

We don't have to rely on anecdotes - several studies have proven the benefit of single sex education for girls (and for boys). Here's an overview, with appropriate citations.

I guess we just disagree - there are countless Women's colleges that provide a valuable experience for our best and brightest girls, in a space that free from the toxic patriarchy that exists everywhere else. You'll find countless members of this site who've had incredibly positive experiences with single sex

Serious question - do you believe that there's a place for "women's only" spaces? For single sex education? Shelters for abused women and children that exclude men?

Fun fact - separatist feminists are feminists (not that I consider myself one, but they are)! So are second wave feminists, TERFs, etc. Like I said, big umbrella.

Also, I don't think any woman has the right to police another woman's claim to the word feminism. If you say you're one, that's good enough for me.

I'm glad that you're recruiting more allies as you said - because that's all men can be, is allies. Way to do good work!

Once Sarah Palin became a "feminist", it solidified in my mind the desire to draw some boundaries.

LOL! You literally just defined me as a feminist and then turned right around and tried to kick me out of the club! The irony would burn if it wasn't so hilarious!

They came in my membership pack. Didn't you get yours? Just ask headquarters to re-send it.

I am ready, yes, but thanks for checking in!

That's horrifying! In my day, we just left our kids alone with Bill Cosby when we wanted to know what they were thinking.

Oh no! Did you slip on male tears once, and now you know their pain? My heart for you - it just weeps and weeps.

Oh noes! The poor menz!

*Shrugs* Well, luckily for me, you're not the arbiter of who gets her feminist card.
