@LucasReis - LOCK2K: yes, it's absurdly cheap, even if it "lasts" 6 months. after World in Conflict, I don't bother with "normal" RTS's anymore, they're too much for me, but I feel like buying this one too.

Super Mario Kart with my dad. we were in our house in the "mountains", where we leave our old SNES and the cartridges. last time we went there (Easter IIRC), we played it too, but obviously it's far from enough for him (even if he's been "playing" it since we own it).

@VincentGrey: huh, I liked it. I don't think Columns/Puyo is the most exciting puzzle game, but the new stuff makes it quite cool. if it was something like Panel de Pon it would be better IMO, but I'm fine with it.

@3rdshift: World in Conflict is pretty noob-friendly, huge teams, no resource management. you pick a class, deploy the correct units (they have a cost in "points", which you win by killing other units and doing the objectives). but I don't know how many servers are still out there.

Mafia 2 will require Steam to run and is now available for pre-order on it. There's a "digital deluxe edition" as well, and whatever version you buy they give you Mafia for free so your hype level skyrockets. The release date is August 27th so it's not THAT far away.

@DRaGZ: from my experience here in the "third world", the HATE doesn't come from old people. they might not "like" it, but I doubt you'll hear them mocking you because you're playing your DS in the university restaurant/bar.
