Very true. Vinegar-based sauce might not be my favorite, but it’s definitely the more distinct form of BBQ. You can find sauces similar to Lexington-style all over the country, whereas Eastern-style is a strictly local NC specialty.

I loved the real history mixed with vampire lore as letters/travelogues. But the ending when we really confront Vlad is just atrocious. Cutting that would’ve made the mystery so much sweeter.

I loved the world building and just the whole vibe, but there about 1.5 too many iterations of the Man with the Thistledown Hair scenes, and the stuff with the tower toward the end... I actually had a hard time figuring out what was going on in bits.
