Do it, and get the mods from FSOpen. There is a battlestar galactica mod called Diaspora that is insanely good. A babylon 5 mod, while no longer worked on was also good. Plus there is a HD mod out there for all the ship models. FS2 still has an active mod community.

Even with the kinda weird crap like Eric Idle’s junkerbot, Transformers: The Movie was and is awesome. Optimus dying. Starscream getting vaporized. Pretty much everybody dying. Unicron eating planets. “You’ve Got the Touch”.

Yes, there is an apocalypse. Yes, there is traveling. But there is precious little playing. If you were looking, as I was, for a story about theater folks who really believe the show *must* go…
