Fun would be Robin being a cameo somewhere, like at a Starbucks. Oh, Robin knows how your name is spelled. Robin even knows your real name. The one you could never tell her.

I would occasionally look at Shark Week to see if they had anything interesting on, but I was shocked a year or two ago to find that all that programming is basically either terrible recreations of shark attacks, or survival tips by that same Bro that does every other Xtreme Survival kind of show.

I just can’t imagine new blood will fix the core problem.... there aren’t any good myths left. The modern myths are either easily debunked with background checks (like Snopes), or a knowledge of how photoshop works (like Captain Disillusion on youtube), or they’re just trying to show how movie magic would work in real

Nah, they all just dramatically fall into the water, Batman looks down and growls “No one could survive that again. For the fifth time in a row” and stalks off.

Good to know... also, the sequels weren’t on my library’s Overdrive page like the first one was, so I was lacking that point at click access.

Yeah, that’s part of why I wasn’t that motivated to continue... I liked the Biologist character a lot, and her response to the mystery was actually the important thing. But I wasn’t really interested in seeing new characters grind away at what is clearly a Lost situation.

That’s very exciting.... I haven’t read the other two books, but Annihilation really struck me not just because of it’s disturbingly organic mystery, but also because its portrayal of a lonely loner scientist was just so much more flawed and human than normal fictional scientists, which seem to be either hyper

But, the Gundam shows aren’t the same show... they’re different shows with new characters and mechs each time. I’m not saying it’s a bad idea necessarily, but it seems weird to redo the same show twice and then make a movie too! At least Brotherhood had the excuse of the first show outrunning it’s manga and having to

I think I also had more patience for the brother’s antics the first time through, because of the mysteries? I got through one episode of Brotherhood and realized that I didn’t like them as much as I thought ;)

It seems like Japan has Amazing Spiderman Sickness. They were bitten by an amazing spider, and now they need to reboot their beloved properties every 3 to 4 years. Hopefully it doesn’t worsen and they get Four Fantastic Fevers.

The problem I had with Brotherhood is that you just can’t kick me in the stomach emotionally with that story twice.

Princess Mononoke. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. Even the dub is pretty great.

I think China tends to get the blame a lot more just because you’ve got the triple threat of people buying status symbol goods like ivory, components of Traditional Chinese Medicine like tiger and bear parts, and then that Southern Chinese taste for really exotic animals as status symbol foods. It’s probably not fair

They also cut the relavistic space travel, which was a lot of fun.

You could probably make an interesting show of it... though I would probably think something animated would be better so the children don’t overgrow.

Ugh, Twighlight is the worst.

It was made for less than $100 million, and probably spent a good chunck of that on having Gandhi and Han Solo in the cast, so I’d expect it was just expense.
