You’re right that 4chan “leaks” are almost always pranks or hoaxes, but not all of them have been. I think what lends this one some credibility that most leaks don’t have is the domain name registration from an official company linked to TPCi/Nintendo. We’ll just have to see how it plays out.

If these leaks turn out to be true, I’m probably going to be disappointed, and I bet a lot of other people will too. But I’ll hold back my judgment until we get the full story.

The updated version is so remarkably better that you really have to wonder how they ever thought that the original release was acceptable in any way. Still, props to them for listening to the fans. If they ever fix the FFVI release like this, I might actually buy it and play it finally.
