Pretty sure you’re right about that and that’s why I never said anything remotely like that, Mr. Triggered.

It’s not like anybody has some kind of monopolistic right to report on this. As long as there’s no plagiarism who cares?

Then why do Octolings live underground in big TV screen spheres and we don’t see a single one anywhere else in the game? I’m not saying your take is necessarily wrong but it just doesn’t seem to fit in with what we know.

From what I remember, Octolings were completely antagonistic to Inklings and were completely separate from Inkling society. I could be wrong since it’s been years, but the lore scroll things you can find really strongly imply against what you’re saying.

Man, it probably sucks to be a Pearl fan because there seems to be near-universal agreement that Marina is better.

This is exactly what I was going to say. It’s hilarious that Jason is hailing the gambit system as a positive when I distinctly remember everybody making fun of this game for having it back when it came out. “The game plays itself!” or something similarly reductive.

Hmm, I’m pretty sure it meets the size limit but the “mythical” Pokemon that you can’t get outside promotions (Mew, Celebi, etc.) are usually banned from this kind of stuff.

Basically, it delivers the feeling of playing a Crash game back in the late ‘90s, while looking, sounding and playing like a game developed today.

The rest are absolutely not decisions that come directly from the director, unless you are referring to the director overriding how the writer initially determines all of these things. “Done under direct input” - sure, that’s what a director does. But the writer is the one WRITING it.

Now, that doesn’t mean that the execution didn’t have its problems.

If that was meant as an insult it was a pretty weak-ass one.

lol, I know, my comment was a joke. :)

“Bad writing” is rarely an acceptable reason for anything for diehard Kingdom Hearts fans, unfortunately......

You’re welcome, anytime babe. Good to know you care about this very important issue enough to call me names over it.

“Japanese Competitive Pokemon Meta is All About the Element of Surprise” would have described it much better imo.

I never said it wasn’t.

Double duck (Pelipper + Golduck) was popularized several months ago by Aaron Zheng, one of the biggest VGC players in the world, so it’s not unusual at all.

Then talk about the sets. The article is a pretty interesting look on how the Japanese meta is different and why, but “full of Pokemon you never see” just isn’t accurate. :\ (I’m sure the casuals who whine about how VGC is all the same Pokemon were baited into clicking, though.)

“Full” of monsters you rarely see is an overstatement. The only truly weird choices on these teams are Tsareena, Lycanroc and Buzzwole. So that’s four strange choices out of 48 Pokemon.

No I’m not. I’m specifically responding to your claim that people who thought the outfit was inappropriate weren’t going to buy the game anyway and that Nintendo was “catering” to people who didn’t matter. That claim is false, and I was pointing that out to you. Did you not mean that when you said it?
