5 big seems like a good deal for an E36, but this 1 has been significantly modified, to say the least; & that makes it lose market value. If this actually performs better than 1 straight from Munich, then I would forward a NP vote for the right hooner.
How many pedals?
NP!
The Seville was a move in the right direction. The Catera was simply not marketed effectively. The CTS-V was the M5 killer that GM needed.
I flinched when I saw the come-back of the MC without the characteristic sexy lines, FWD & unibody aside. It wasn’t a Cimarron level mistake but it was pretty offensive.
I just found out that there is a close to even split on votes. I was not anticipating such a high percentage of NP votes. It turns out that this is a good candidate. I’ll grab the popcorn & read on!
Usually I would say
Pass.
I would settle for availability of a manual transmission.
I was more concerned about their SS membership.
With blue waffles!
The People’s Convoy
My old man (RIP) once told me that the driver of a truck in which he was riding sped up before going up a hill (in Pennsylvania) in order to build momentum to overcome the hill. This obviously saves on gas, um, somehow.
I believe that there is some truth in that. Whether any of that truth is practical is another question.
If I’m buying a 300 dollar sticker, then I want something more than fuel to burn.
I remember someone bragging that their new car cost less to fill up than the previous 1.
Diesel go-oil is actually cheaper than gas in Europe, so you get a bonus there & not a penalty. Diesel vehicles are more popular there too.
Not using brakes is appropriate advice for Tom (RIP). His ‘63 Dodge Dart (RIP) probably didn’t have any!
I’ve heard of magnets that you place on the oil filter. The claims aren’t directly for fuel efficiency, but improved filtration. Theoretically this makes sense, but I don’t know if the magnets are strong enough to filter out a significant amount of inner metal shavings.
