I specifically sought to buy the earlier editions of the Sandman trades, because I couldn’t stand the new boring gradients. The original colours were so exciting and experimental (at least in the first few volumes).
Illusion by Paula Volsky?
Earthsea by Ursula Le Guin! It’s not exactly Game of Thrones-ish, but: written by a woman? Check! Deeply realized? Check check! Incredible? Check check check!
Flying Lotus was the DJ, right?
It finds its feet by the end of the first season, its pretty much all gold from then.
I don’t know what is more jarring, being a dedicated viewer of Buffy and having Dawn suddenly introduced, or being a late viewer of Buffy and noticing that Dawn just didn’t exist in the earlier seasons for some reason.
By dimensions, so I can fit more onto the shelves. If I didn’t do it that way I wouldn’t have the space for even half my books.
There was literally a scene in the show where Shaw’s character was uncomfortable with the directions she was given to be more exposed. It angers me that that kind of dissonance between presentation and action can exist.
Space Opera by Catherynne M. Valente rocked my world this year. I can’t get over how good it is.
Kim Woo-hyung is the cinematographer.
Launch it in Australia you fools
I’m sorry but it is definitely unreasonable to ask an artist to “hurry up” with their art, no matter how long it takes them. I don’t care how long you’ve had to wait. It means more to the artist than it will ever mean to you.
I want to agree with half of your comment, but its hard liking it, because I don’t want to agree with all of it.
Sucker Punch
All the reviews for the film make it seem so damn pretentious and it makes me even more excited for it each time I read one.
I get that this is all for fun, but if you’re watching something for the first time you should be giving it your complete attention, not reacting immediately with Cinemasins-esque jokes and “observations”; friends doing this is why I almost always watch movies alone now.
I love coming to articles that mention Hereditary, because the same people come to post the exact same contrarian comments they’ve left on every other article that mentions Hereditary. It’s just so maddening when people like something that you don’t, huh?
What I’m getting from this is that you can only be in a relationship/sleep with someone of the exact same place in society, and that person isn’t allowed to admire you/like you at all, because if they do you hold influence over them and that means they can never make consensual decisions concerning you.
I’m flabbergasted by these comments acting as if Roanoke is a bad season! But then again I’m a sucker for those early 2000's splatter films that people seem to hate which Roanoke tries to emulate, like the Texas Chainsaw and Halloween remakes and the slew of cliched found footage films.
