Whats funny about that is, The Fact that it Still look like it can be a Heritage design of the 70’s 124’s

It takes a special kind of fucked to tell people thier opinions are wrong. The first thing I though of was AP2 V2 s2000 with those wheels.

You’re right

Cost cutting... Thanks GM for teaching people how to slap a badge over a different vehicle and call it another!

I have to disagree with Jeb Bush’s statement. While smaller ISPs may have cut back on potential investment, many of them had no intention of investing or upgrading their networks. Last I checked, even large companies that get government subsidies have not delivered on promises to expand service. I have been living in

“...slob-knob oligopolistic corporatism so explicitly”

Wow, belligerent and wrong (according to the USA Government)....

How about the simplictic value of the Mirage? I know many people trading in good cars just because it needs an expensive service, plus tires, plus brakes, plus 1 or 2 things that are broken but would be cheaper to do than the first year depreciation on a new car. The Mirage would be way cheaper and probably more

I am in my mid 40’s and I do not get all the hate for the new Mirage. I drove epic sh!tboxes when I first had my license in 1987. I would take the “inferior” Mirage all day over the unreliable lumps I was saddled with in those days.

I don’t own a Prius. Don’t plan to, either.

You could not be further from the truth. Diesel buyers are not Jalops. They’re mostly efficiency wonks and most have been sold on the tech by “clean” marketing (hence, why “clean diesel” is shouted in every manufacturer’s ads, plastered on every Audi race car, etc.). The buyer profile data is pretty clear on this.

I must regrettably agree. As much as folks here love to hate the Prius, it is — putting flame suit on — an absolutely excellent automobile for its purpose and for its target market.

The anecdote is not true of Prius drivers, I’m afraid. I’ve seen the actuary data — Prius owners get a lot less speeding tickets and cause a lot less accidents than the average driver.

I think the term “Your mileage may vary” applies aptly here.

That’s entertainment television. I bet if you used a Prius to tow a Space Shuttle it’s fuel economy might be a little worse, too. But that’s not how people use the car, and we all know Top Gear is known for their scientific accuracy and rigid testing procedures. Right?

Driving my ‘02 with 155k without so much as a thought. All maintenance has been routine/anticipated aside from an oil pressure gauge. Toyota makes great stuff.

every brand has a YAWWWN factor

Everyone can laugh at someone. Somewhere a leaf owner is laughing at you, somewhere at Tesla owner at them, someone at them, and on and on.

I came here expecting mindless bandwagoneering Prius hate, and I was not disappointed.

In my case I went with the tiny Mirage. 22K miles so far, and still love the damned shitbox. Amazing mileage from a package (3-cyl engine + 5-speed manual, no fancy tech other than MIVEC) that I will be actually able to maintain 10 years into the future without having to take my daughter out of college.
