I think it’s also cool looking, and an engineering marvel.

I disagree. I find environmental responsibility very cool.

The test has set values for altitude, humidity, and loads...

Not sure this counts because everyone knew about it, but dang if I don’t love the Williams active suspension.

Using this “Light-truck” to cheat CAFE

Now playing

Not really ingenious, but comical that Saturn even tried to cheat the 5mph crash test. @3:40 in the video below.

Haters will always hate. They always attack the Prius for being “boring” but in reality, it was never designed to go on a track.

The Prius is a cool car, don’t listen to the haters.

I drive a Prius. Does this negate every single “shoulda bought a diesel bro” comment on Jalopnik I’ve been forced to read over the past 10 years?

What are you, Detroit’s own Chicken Little?! None of your warnings of the sky falling are based in fact and the nonsense about an “activist bureaucracy” or its “fining protocols” curbing development could not be further from reality. Fines are levied for serious violations of clear laws — As VW did in the most brazen

starred for not suggesting an LSx.

Fuckin’ Audi. I know that “step 1: remove front facia “instruction for every repair item anywhere.

Yeah when I saw “modern cars” I definitely thought of a car designed in the 1970s that was still being made in 2011.

It is with a complete lack of surprise that I note the absence of German cars from this list.

“Modern cars suck, you can’t work on them!” shade tree mechanics everywhere like to lament.

Turbo-diesels maybe a good choice when you’re concerned about MPG but they’re really not a better alternative to anything gasoline powered. My old turbo diesel car emits so much soot and other nasty emissions that I’m ashamed that I used to drive it. Awful things.

Were the kings* now EVs are the king some over 125MPG equivalent. Also i bet a volt would beat a diesel unless you drive a ridiculous amount of miles daily.
