No you are not. I've been a SAHM mom for a little over 2 1/2 years and it has been a struggle for me the whole time and I have felt all those things. I went to college late in life and after finally getting my degree, I got a job doing something close to what I wanted. However, 4 days after I started we got the

I so agree with you. My mom is part of the Nancy Grace Fear Culture and we routinely argue over this stuff. She saw a girl riding her bike alone in my neighborhood the other day (I live in a very typical and freaked out, saying the parents should be jailed because she was probably going to be abducted. I told her she

This is the greatest thing I have ever seen.

Does it really do that? I'm serious because my mom is on this dumb diet and I haven't been able to find anything online that says it's dangerous. Stupid, yes. Now I'm worried. Weight is a VERY touchy subject with her so I want some facts in case she gets upset.

I happened to land on this show for the first time last night and I couldn't believe how horrid she was being to these kids. And the fight with the mom and she made her sign that paperwork and the mom knew she would punish the kid for her actions? WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? I don't understand why they want their kids to

I wish you could sky-write this shit so everyone could see it. This woman is just awful and I hope the press doesn't let up on her and I wish someone would confront her with all of your excellent points.

We do this too. Sometimes the kid will want a cheeseburger when we order but chicken when it's time to actually eat it so everyone wins.

I adopted as well and feel the same need to toss pasta in her face. This is similar to my stepmother telling my pregnant stepsister that "you can only feel the true joy of being a mother after giving birth to someone you cared for in your womb." There wasn't enough side eye in this world for me to throw her.

I just have never liked drinking straight up water. It's the taste I guess. I'll drink it if I'm super thirsty but I wouldn't choose to have a glass of water as a beverage. My mom drinks tons of water a day and also thinks I'm strange.

This is my question as well. I don't like water and no, adding a slice of lemon doesn't magically change it into something different, so I'm left with either drinking lots of sugary stuff or drinking stuff with sweet n low. I do drink a lot of tea, but I like it sweet so I add sweetener. I'm screwed.

I totally agree with all of this. ALL OF IT.

One of my friends is like this IRL. They eat only organic foods and she won't even step into a grocery store that doesn't say Whole Foods on the outside. She is constantly giving me side eye for letting my kid eat a Goldfish cracker or something. I mentioned he had a cheeseburger from McDonalds once and she told me I

Thank you so much for writing that. Seriously.

That is really sad. My kids are adopted and my greatest fear is that they will feel this way. I feel for you and your husband and I hope he can find peace one day.

Oh my god. I cannot stop crying. That was just beautiful.

Ugh, THIS. I have a friend who borrowed some workout DVD's from me and when I was explaining some of them and she asked how often I do them and I said 4-6X/wk, her eyes got wide and she exclaimed that I should be SOOOOO skinny if I worked out that much. Um no, I look like THIS when I work out and thank you very much.

Between these and some Friends reruns that have popped up on TBS, I feel like I'm back in the 90s.

Hell yes.
