The most frustrating thing about this is how the CEO treats the existence of racist content on his platform as a “hypothetical.” As if it’s not a fact that unmoderated spaces online eventually devolve into racist hellholes.

Why don’t you look at who had that label before Musk threw his tantrum.

“Sorry, what? How does getting labeled as state-funded media damage an outlet’s credibility?”

What is virtuous about bigotry?

So instead of terminating a lease in a normal, and far cheaper fashion, he’s going to not pay rent and deface the building to do it, which is going to cost far, far, far more. Not just in money, but in the fact that most people don’t respect him anymore.

Have there been any more developments in that story since the foreclosures of offices and the landlords filing suit? Doesn’t seem to be.

“If Twitter isn’t profitable then why would the company be footing the bill for jokers that kept getting wrapped up in lawsuits?”

That’s not it at all.

Having more competition would make things better for people who do advertising, and sites that get revenue from advertising. Nothing will help the issue of data other than Congress adopting a GDPR style law here.

Also, that these companies are still hiring, and that even after the layoffs, they still have more workers than they did before the pandemic.

It’s called having fucking empathy.

I’d imagine when it comes not from your own work, but exploiting the work of others.

Again, you’re going to need to back up that statement. Where is the empirical evidence that most office jobs need a central location?

Except there’s not a shred of evidence to support your position. If you want to go into the office, that’s perfectly fine, but to force your choice on others is simply despicable.

No, they like looking over your shoulder. One does not have to watch your every move in order to be a manager.

After seeing his complete and utter lack of managerial skills at Twitter, who the fuck would want to live there? “We pushed an update for the traffic lights, unfortunately now they show go in all directions at once. Sigh. So fragile.”

There are always trade-offs to things like bans and regulations.”

Your second paragraph contradicts your first.

You’re still gonna have to pay for the likeness rights of the people you’re ripping off.

If you’re going to be dishonest in your first sentence, then what’s the bother in commenting?
