“Obviously I can’t say that. But they can.”

What’s the exact dollar amount one can make before they are no longer allowed to talk about conditions of their job? Cause you know that $16/hour is not a living wage, right?

Unless you can show that loss is directly attributable to shrinkage (theft), then no, this really doesn’t make sense. Especially if it causes people to stop going there.

If that last part had any merit on this, you wouldn’t see so many companies fighting to be able to pollute the waters.

“Its called freedom of speech”

The principles of a free press do not require them to support every “press” outlet there is. Just to be against government overreach of the press.

Except now one mistake, and you are liable for everything posted. No small community is going to be able to take that risk.

“It’s long past time we redefined “shouting fire in a crowded theater” for the age of IT.”

That last question you posted is the problem.

Remember, it’s only when it’s things straight, white, conservative men don’t like that it should be moderated. That same straight, white, conservative man posting that trans people shouldn’t exist? Well that’s just free speech.

Except that those small communities are going to be the ones least able to moderate to the extent needed.

Well, for one, most of us are quite against anyone buying this data. But governments have the power to throw you in jail, or just flat out kill you without consequences. Random people don’t have that power.

It exists. It’s called Gab, Parler, and Truth Social.

Maybe they just don’t want to constantly be bombarded with bigotry and conspiracy bullshit in the name of “free speech”.

Keep in mind that these are the same kind of dipshits that think that criticizing someone is “cancelling” or “silencing” them. They don’t actually want you to be able to speak, they want to be able to speak without any kind of blowback.

“It’s hard to believe that someone as smart as Musk (and even Trump for that matter) could be so dumb about Civil Rights, Free Speech, Tax, Education, Abortion, Law Enforcement, Classified Documents, etc.”

It really doesn’t. Just having a central database would be far, far, far easier.

And yet, literally nothing about doing that requires blockchain or NFTs.

Countdown to when Facebook gets this taken down in 3... 2...

Not “convicted”.
