Idk man. The amount of filtering and reverb combinations in Modern Warfare is pretty astounding. The dynamic range is also the largest I’ve ever heard— the gunshots and flyovers are deafening. That takes guts for a Triple A action game of that size and scope. Normally these games are compressed to hell.

Rayman origins (and legends) have some of the best music ive heard in video games. They match the games perfectly. My wife and I sing the Lums song to each other haha.

Journey is amazing. Going back through the Wind Waker soundtrack left me disappointed, there are a couple of all-timers on it but it wasn't a great listen to me as a whole.

Gravity Rush 2 has a KILLER soundtrack! It really nails the all the feelings the game is going for. Crazy anime characters, soaring through the sky, dreamlike otherwords, European architecture, mechanized military marches, jazz clubs, frantic battles with giant monsters, triumphant fanfares. EVERYTHING. It’s all great.

did they fix the stupid rolling numbers on item prices? nothing says figuring out what to drop based on price like waiting 5 seconds for the game to tell you how much each item costs.

If you hate bland cut scenes, then Yakuza is exactly the series for you! They even featured a hot potato toss off with a live baby last game and it was far from bland. They are typically full of life and ridiculous melodrama, I find it very entertaining.

I’ll honestly be pretty mad if the player is allowed to beat Kiryu.

I’ve always thought the ESRB is very inconsistent in their ratings. The Halo games never seemed to deserve M ratings to me and the Mercenaries games way back when seemed to push the T rating. That’s just what pops into my head but I’m sure there are other instances as well.
