What’s sad is I can remember when Whitlock was the voice of reason on the old “Sports Reporters” show. Every once in a while, he’d say something perfectly logical, but would cause Albom to stare off into space, Bob Ryan to start sputtering, and Lupica to turn absolutely beet red.
