I found him embarrassing as one white writer after another just used him as the avatar of whatever they thought black culture was supposed to be. His dialog was laughable. His look was just gross. I just find it dull. Way less interesting that Lois/Clark or Diana/Bruce Wayne.

As a black person, even I’m forced to agree with you. Storm and T’Challa felt like they were thrown together simply because they were both African. They could have taken the time to establish their relationship and make it work but Reggie Hudlin approached it with his usual level of cheese and craptitude.

Jeremy Irons is 67. Affleck is 43 (Snyder’s words). So considering Bruce’s parent’s died at 8 Alfred would’ve been about 32 when he started caring for Bruce. Give or take a couple of years since Affleck is supposed to be playing bruce a little older...

Yup yup.

Again being the key word there. Origins change all the time. Without any events taking place at all. They actually changed it right before the movie came out. They call that a retcon. Not so much a reboot.

They folded some of the better Ultimate characters into the main universe and made some of the details more like the movies. I’m fine with it.

SUUUUPER soft. Like I’d be reluctant to even use the word reboot. They basically just added a few characters and jumped ahead 8 months.

Not really going for either. But that’s the thing about reading text, you kinda bring your own baggage to it.

You clearly haven’t seen enough of that show. Watch it again. He’s at least 75% of the things I named. A campy version of those things but it’s all there. And more importantly he’s comics accurate to the silver age version of the character. It’s also fine that movie your favorite though.
