You can’t disagree that these movies don’t have the things I like about Batman. It’s completely subjective. I get why people like them. They’re well made movies. They just don’t hit ANY of the check boxes I need for a Batman movie.

It’s not time. It’s disinterest. Nolan wasn’t interested in those aspects of Batman.

That needed no justification.

I agree. They good have put him in a green suit and called him The Riddler and nothing would really have changed.

I Hate the killing. But Keaton’s Bruce Wayne and Nicholson’s Joker, plus the art direction, the music, and the fact that I was 8 when I saw it trump all of that. It gives me way more of what I need from a Batman story than any of the Nolan movies did. And without that movie there would be no Batman: The Animated

I don’t agree with your thoughts on the editing, camera work, or aesthetics. But i will say that to me The Nolan films are my least favorite because they have none of the things that I like about Batman.

He’s not a genius. He’s not an incredible fighter. He’s not obsessed. He’s not a brilliant detective. He’s not a

I realize this might not drum up the clicks that a site like this is looking for. But I really wish more people would use “My Favorite” in place of “Best”

Batman ‘89, Dark Knight Returns (animated), and Under the Red Hood got bumped in favor of Batman Returns huh?... I’ll see you guys later.

In these first two seasons the writers had a real hard tim trying to balance their power level with the threat of the week. ANd you got some fairly ridiculous moments on incompetence from each member in service of creating tension.

Much of this was ironed out when they made the switch to JLU.

Golden years is a hiiiighly subjective term. Don’t think Will Ferrel is funny. I respect Tina Fey and I like her as a person and a business woman but I don’t think she’s ever made me laugh. Chris Kattan has always sucked. Lonely Island is overrated. Jimmy Fallon I actively hate. Horatio Sans is kinda whatever. Amy

More like 1994-ish. And I’m aware of the work being done. I’m simply not a fan of it.

And proud.

Like I said...cool shit.

I don’t think she’s all that good in general. But I’ve never been a fan of the modern SNL style of comedy. That whole generation is just lost on me.

Bill Murray pretty much played Peter Venkman (aka Bill Murray) for the majority of his career. Chris Farley played the same type of character for all of his career as well. Maybe she can do more than the prat fall lady, but you’re basing an awful lot on one shot of her in glasses. You don’t even know if her feelings

Cathy Bates has been doing cool shit for decades. There are plenty of plus sized actors and actresses that do good work. She just happens to have fallen into the Chris Farley/Kevin James role. And it’s taken her pretty far.

So glad Miles survives and is still written by Bendis. He seems to get black characters in a way that I really appreciate. His Luke Cage completely turned me around on that character.

I kinda thought that was her whole gimmick but I suppose we’ll see.

You got all that from her wearing glasses?
