I always wondered whether Jakobi Myers was named after Jacoby and Meyers, but in my defence I only knew the latter from the Beastie Boys lyric “Got more suits than Jacoby and Meyers” and I thought they made men’s clothing.

I remember hearing from one of Warner’s coaches at St Louis. Warner bobbled a snap in practice and it was completely the Centre’s fault apparently. This coach tore into Warner for ages, knowing full well Warner hadn’t made the mistake, and Warner just took it and never once gave up his team mate. The coach said that…
I feel like that series was designed to confuse the people who already have trouble telling their Davids Croneberg and Lynch apart. The plot is pure Lynch, the visuals uncut Cronenberg.
I'd rather a Ted Kord Blue & Gold film, but this'll do I suppose.
I agree with all that! Up there with the best MCU films, at any rate, and second only to Spider-Verse of all the Spider-films.
I really liked Beard After Hours, I thought it was tremendous, and a nice way to use up one of the two extraneous episodes the showrunners were saddled with.
I think it helps that the Kurt Warner story genuinely is impressive and interesting, religious element notwithstanding, so there’s no reason that even a film that plays up the Faith element can’t be good.
Well I agree there.
Seven Soldiers is the one that sprang immediately to mind for me.
It actually is just called Volcano.
Uncharacteristically kind from Pitchfork, I’d have said.
Some motherfuckers are always trying to Jetpack uphill.
“You brought a lot of guns”
Some of my favourite individual scenes in movies ever came out this year, and you captured most of them!
I fully agree mate, but it should be said (and I’m sure you know this), all British TV runs short, not including the Soaps. Very rare is the series that goes over 6 episodes, be it drama, half hour sitcom or whatever.
I remember someone chewing me out because I said Florence Pugh wouldn’t just be “wasted” on Hawkeye, she’d get some good stuff to work with and in all probability would be a continuing character later in the franchise, so some nice (partial) vindication on that front.
A couple of my favourite films are in that list, The Long Goodbye and Stop Making Sense!, plus a handful of others I really like, so I guess I approve.
The Mast & The Furious
A title I think, fixing an election is probably beyond what Logan would be willing to do! Although...
I would argue that Jean Smart has been on a bit of a tear for a while now, not just this past year!
