...which is yet more evidence that police traffic enforcement isn’t about safety. The mere existence of a cop car causes a driving hazard, and a moving one is a rolling roadblock at any speed.

When I had my miata with no front plate I had a cop pull over to the side of the road and let me pass just so he could make sure I had a Virginia plate and pull me over for not having the front plate on the car. When that becomes a productive use of police time, you know there are too many cops in your municipality.

I don’t like cops, and don’t trust them. Most have issues. That’s why they are cops.

Impossible to beat a civil infraction when the only other witness is a police officer who spends a lot of time in that particular courtroom.

If there is anything a judge hates more than being talked back to, it’s being talked down to. Remember, it is their sacred duty to judge all those around them... not to be judged.

Because like it or not, cops will abuse their power. So if they are feeling like it, they WILL pull you over and find justification to do so.
