My TL;DR: this was an excellent car narrative but as a car review, left much to be desired
ya but.. i... i want... Look - i just love the look of the thing... can’t that be enough???
Let’s at least NOT do an Iron Puke. On first sight, I thought the stupid wheels would be the thing that made me angriest.
Does it come fully equipped with a closet full of Tommy Bahama shirts, the K-Tel Compleat Hits Of The Fifties boxed set, and a lifetime prescription for Lipitagra (the combo cholesterol/dick pill)? If not, then no deal.
unique opportunity to poop at home no matter where you go
In the town where I was born
Lived a man with pipes to hit
And he told us of his Ford
And we all thought “He’s a twit.”
But we drove it anyway
‘Til that Iron Duke did quit
And we all lived off the grid
In our yellow piece of shit.
We all live in a yellow piece of shit
A yellow piece of shit, a yellow piece of shit.
We all live…
Yeah yeah you can cook up as many hypotheticals as the person advocating concealed carry, it doesn’t change anything: his hypotheticals are just as valid as yours.
Like Chicago, where guns are banned?
That insults millions of people who grew up in difficult circumstances and would never hurt anyone.
I was a teenager. And I had guns. Something like this never once crossed my mind. Using them for anything other than target shooting at a range/ranch never crossed my mind. I’m glad I’m not even able to fathom the mindset that values an innocent human’s life so little.
The problem is that if the companies are getting fined, they either go out of business (and thus never pay the fine), or they pass the cost of the fine on to their customers. In the latter case it also means it obviously isn’t achieving its intended goal.
The difference is that if Elon Musk misses an arbitrary deadline, nothing major happens. If automakers miss CAFE targets, they will be taxed hundreds of millions of dollars for the federal government’s setting the mark too high.
I love it, I want it, and if I had the $17K laying around, would buy it.
Part of me would buy it (if I could) just so I could bring it to the Subaru dealer and get my head gaskets checked out.
Didn’t bother reading. Legacy wagons make me irrational. NP.
He never said he liked his kids.
Repeal the mandates. Fuel prices should be enough deterrent to get people to choose fuel efficient vehicles. Fuel taxes and annual registration fees should only be used to pay for the maintenance and construction of transportation infrastructure, not as punitive measures to influence behavior.
