I've been reading the series since the beginning. Bosch is a great character, and Connolly is having the character age in real time, so he is very different now than he was 25 years ago. Connolly's other series (Lincoln Lawyer, Blood Work, The Poet) are very good too and cross over to the Bosch stories.
