I think inevitably in the longer-term this is going to lead to legislation that ends up making a lot of AI art tools illegal, because hoovering up people’s work is pretty much all they currently do. That’s why and how they can be used to steal people’s styles. That’s not going to last as legal forever.

The problem isn’t people using it the way you do. You’re not the problem here, go nuts and have fun with it! If people want to use AI art to make stuff for personal use that’s fine! It’s great that people are finding new ways to be creative.

Copyright does not work that way. You dont have to do anything to copyright your work. As soon as it is created it is copyrighted by default. It's not like a trademark or patent where you have to file to get it.

Dunkey is hilarious. I love his videos. I doubt many base their purchases off his videos. They are usually released a week or two after a game releases, which sits well outside the biggest purchasing time for games. He does a few reviews, but not often enough to be reliable for it.

Can you provide some details on that? I’m a little skeptical considering that Dunkey has purposefully made fun of transphobic and homophobic people, essentially saying their opinions are worthless, while also mocking people who complain about “social justice” invading their precious video games.

That’s my take, too.

This is true overall because online reviews draw out the extremes. People in the middle don’t tend to take the time to provide their opinions as often.

I love Dunkey’s stuff because I consider it to be firmly tongue in cheek and don’t take it seriously beyond a funny guy’s opinion on something.
