Was actually talking to a friend about this game today. I’ve played Chronicles 1&2, but this game always seems overwhelming. It’s so huge that I can’t imagine trying to take the whole thing on. The friend I was talking with told me that it’s actually quicker than Chronicles if you push through just the story, but I…
Cool beans! I’ve always wanted to go on a cross country trip like that, and I’d love to hear about how you made it happen if you ever write a post about that (presuming you have not already).
Gregg is a fucking fantastic tattoo. Thanks for stopping by :)
That sounds very intense, and I’m glad you were able to push through that. Never thought about a game character reminding me of somebody in that kind of way. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely worth sharing. Definitely can see how that would be really difficult to play through. Thanks for the generous compliment, as well.
Thanks to that last line, and back at you. I would definitely recommend giving Night in the Woods a shot. It’s great and the writing is incredibly good.
Hey, I think that’s definitely okay, too. The game is largely focused on struggling people dealing with mental health issues. If that’s not a place you’ve been, I can understand why the game wouldn’t be interesting for you.
Hey, thanks for reading and responding :). You’re super right about how cool the punk rock / indie aesthetic is to the game. I’ve never really put that into words before, but it’s a huge element. I think it’s also so well written. The characters all talk like me and my friends. Anyways, thanks for sharing your story.…
Hey dude, thanks for sharing, really appreciate it. I’m glad that you figured it out, and it’s been super nice to hear other people talk about having a tough time in the college years. I’m trying to take it relatively easy this semester to, as you said, figure myself out a bit. Appreciate the wise words.
Yo! I super appreciate your well-written response. Thanks for reading and thanks for your good take :)
Thanks for the response. I’m actually going to go and read your write-up right now. I have to agree that games often feel more intimate. I’ve never thought of it that way before, so thank you for that tidbit!
Yeah I actually think this game is a step back from Chronicles 1 (haven’t played X). I agree there’s a classic hiding somewhere in there... underneath all the dang field skills.
I wrote about exactly your Xenoblade rant a few months ago: https://tay.kinja.com/i-fell-for-xenoblade-chronicles-2s-nonsense-1826445716
Yeah I guess that is a solid following. Glad they get to have one last hurrah (sounds like) at Evo.
Wow, I cannot believe Injustice is still a thing. Was it controversial that it got in at all? Not hating, just never even realized there was really a community out there.
Great job putting this together! I fell off the face of the Earth in regards to writing, but I’ve been lurking on a lot of posts (and they’ve been dope). Hoping to put more work in before summer ends.
Waypoint has always been tough to scroll through on mobile for me, or else I would check it out more often.
I think S+ was the highest. Never saw those hallowed grounds, but getting to S was tough enough!
As a neutral, I would like to extend a big thanks to Tunisia for being dumb and attacking, as it made the game infinitely more fun to watch. I say we make parking the bus illegal. Every game should be 5-4.
Former S RANKED BIG DEAL ALL STAR HERE. Splatoon kicks ass and the multiplayer is the only online game I've ever really cared for. You're in for a great time.
