Always wild to me that people come to this BLOG and expect every story to be groundbreaking content about EA making a dinosaur game or something. This is an interesting tidbit and completely within the usual wheelhouse.

That’s kinda insane, honestly. So casual! 700 no matter what. Crazy.

A blessing and a curse!

Life in Aggro had great art and no idea how to make a comic

The song is good, but you’ve gone too far. I probably could play it on my guitar. I’ve never considered it before. Someday I’m gonna pick it up and unthinkingly learn the chords. I blame you for inceptioning this idea into my brain.

It makes me so sad that the default controllers for the Switch are too derpy to play some more precise games comfortably.

Do it or you are a loser >:)

We are finishing Xenogears >:)

We are finishing Xenogears >:)

They make good games so hopefully this works out for them. If they could cut it out with the always online shit that would also be great.

Oh come on, you didn’t let me know this was written in 2014 until the comments! I was expecting some scathing takes when I saw 134 comments.

My personal fear is that this becomes a Spotify situation where it’s impossible for smaller devs to make money without supplemental content, like smaller musicians need to tour and sell vinyls.

Beat (or “be done with”) two games for every one you buy and cut down that pile of shame :)

I want to be into Aerial Knight’s Never Yield because the guy introducing it seemed cool and personable, but nothing they showed looks different than every runner ever. Either the trailer hung them out to dry or there isn’t much new there. Excited about Cris Tales (looks gorgeous) and Oxenfree 2. Maybe I’ll try to get

All Montagu’s answers are such boilerplate “really stupid person” politics that it’s actually hilarious. Ensuring transparency by asking about portraits, okay wicked.

I like Josef Fares’ (lead dev on It Takes Two) take on replayability:

This rocks

Just got too frustrating for me running around and shooting all the walls. I think my issue was not knowing I was able to double jump a bunch underwater / in lava before Ridley. It’s a good game, though.

The stakes are certainly very high. Wasn’t for me, though. My first run through I didn’t realize I should have been beating four pre-bosses to make her weaker and got wiped. Second run I went in ridiculously overpowered - because no way was I going to let that happen again - and just mopped the floor with everybody.

Also agree with Alexandra. I’ve gotta see it all. Been driving myself nuts drawing dungeon maps while playing Xenogears because I get frustrated if I don’t get all the chests. Don’t even get me started on stealing items/gear from enemies in Final Fantasy.
