That Dark Souls 3 shot is excellent. The art style in those games isn’t what I enjoy playing through, but it’s undoubtedly well done.

You’re right, the mission stories are excellent. I should have specified. It’s a wonderful game. Just think the overarching story / cutscenes may as well not exist.

I was just mucking around in Miami yesterday! This game rocks, but the story is not good or interesting and the cutscenes don’t help. I’m really baffled by the reporting that Hitman 3 focuses more heavily on story. Doesn’t gel with what I’ve experienced in 2 so far at all.

The last episode of HIMYM should have been the final season if there was still so much they wanted to do. So frustrating! Did you watch from the start recently? I’ve been thinking a lot of mid-aughts Barney Stinson stuff may not have aged super well.

Maybe, uh, get to disk two in Xenogears. The back half of disk one has been a real slog. It’s definitely a *retro gaming experience* for better and for worse.

I think they were entertaining, but I also hate that they get turned into wAcKy SiDeKiCks both in the game and in the movie. Wish all the time spent with them was spent with the very entertaining, very lovable party cast of FFVII.

I think a) passion and b) it’s a lot harder to get an original project noticed. Kotaku doesn’t (usually) cover demos for random Metroidvanias, but they’ll cover this and you’ll get a few viral tweets, too. Means people see your work. You also get to skip a few design steps.

This really bothers me in the new Hitman games, which otherwise are superb. Yes, there’s an offline mode, but it excludes the challenges and a bunch of the game’s features for really no reason. It’s a huge shame.
