I’m gonna buy a PS5 for FFVII photo mode. Was gonna spring for this game (on PS4) next sale, but man do I love a photo mode.
To add, the union work being done at this Amazon plant is a union that’s local to the area and is already in other plants nearby. Totally off-base shit being made up here.
Jeff, thank you so much for sharing. Anybody else?
Smash. Splatoon and Animal Crossing are also kind of “forever games” with updates and events, but most of the stuff is free.
I think the line of thinking was “games as a service make more than ambitious single-player games.” The big mistake was forcing devs that specialized in (still very profitable) single-player experiences to make service games instead of, like, people who are good at making service games.
Cheers, streamers. I was hoping creators on the platform would push back on this and get these taken off.
Agreed, no such thing as “lazy devs.” How about “not incentivized by their bosses to do this” devs.
imagine how bad it was before!
The end of FF3 is so busted, man. But it’s weirdly easy until the final dungeon in my experience. Strange game.
In the original I found a good place to grind, set the encounter rate to max, and just blitzed my way to level 99 when I started getting frustrated. That’s not really an ideal experience and it sounds like this game might be similar.
Wow, he’s not even an NRA guy. Weird fight to pick for no reason, Marcus.
Roy Zowrboy, incredible stuff.
I just played FFVII (og) and he brings up Marlene in almost every scene. Not sure I would agree, “dad” was one of his most prominent traits (to me).
Difference is that nobody cared about the last-gen versions of Shadow of Mordor, Watch_Dogs, Far Cry 4, etc.
Ah whoops, got caught on them getting the PS1 in ‘97 and then talking about games from ‘98. You’re right, I’m wrong.
Heh, I haven’t gotten to the much-criticized second half yet and am playing with some level of nervousness, but I’ve enjoyed everything thus far. A remake with the look of the anime-style cutscenes would be really incredible, though.
I’m playing Xenogears right now! So glad it’s still semi-buyable on a PS3.
Such a good year for the PS1 that you didn’t even mention its biggest game - FF7!
The price of never playing new games is not having an answer to this question. I guess the closest I can get is 2017? I got a new Switch, Zelda, Mario, and Xenoblade. That’s a banner year for me.
