Everybody should read Jon Bois’ (short) piece about Rust from last year HERE. Nobody’s ever captured the ethos better.

It’s not hard to imagine what the Toads in that movie will become. It’s literally the people who invented the Minions. We could be watching a group of Toads dance to a Charli XCX single over the end credits in just over a year.

xbox ollie. xbox kickflip. xbox backflip. coulda been fun

Dropping another comment to mention the Monster Hunter: Rise demo on Switch. I’ve never been into MH before but the demo is crazy fun and probably sold me on the game. If you can download the demo and find the time to play with a friend I would highly recommend it if you’ve ever thought about checking out Monster

I actually have a few of those and have noticed that. Like 1.3 mil iirc. I was a big All user in the campaign so I’ve got a bunch.

Thanks for the response! Definitely a good point - it’s called “post-game” for a reason. I’ll take on Sephiroth.

Hey, thanks for the response, really appreciate it. Sounds like I should go ahead and show Sephiroth what’s what!

Hey, thanks for the advice! I think you’re right that I should finish, but I also usually don’t come back to games after I beat the story. But I guess if I really do want to do that stuff there’s no better way to find out than beating it and seeing how I feel.

Finishing FF7. Tempted to mess around with the chocobo stuff and WEAPONs before facing the final boss, but I’m not sure that’s worth the grind.

But it’s not

This is a good step forward, but ultimately I worry about the burden on the volunteers who have to take cases. It’s a lot of work and a lot of hate for volunteers. The Smash discipline committee did well to move some damaging people out of the scene, but the burden of contending with local celebrities/influencers and

It’s a lot better than nothing.

Weird tangent because this is about FGC and not Smash, seems like you have weird baggage their and twisted your comment to include it. The type of competitor psycho enough to make up a fake ban is going to be removed by the scene for this same stuff.

To seriously answer, community-enforced escalating bans. Requires buy-in from everybody and doesn’t always completely work - in Smash some banned parties still go to locals where they’re friendly with the organizers.

Wow, yup. Never heard of it. Looks bad but I’m tempted to check it out all the same.

abhorrent take

In my original comment I clarify twice that mention “big-budget movies” and “AAA... movies.” I’m talking about movies theatrically, obviously

We’re agreeing, I’m saying that big movies aren’t ever new IP anymore and games are trending that direction.
