You’re right and I’m wrong. Melee works pretty good tho.

Yes. There’s Rivals of Aether and the Melee Rollback PC emulation.
There’s rollback for Melee PC emulation now.
Seems bad
Wow, throwback, forgot there was an anime. Watched it and then never actually played the game.
My first thought was actually that the art looks great imo. Love the softness. To each their own.
The first game’s soft edges worked really well and made it feel “storybook.” I agree, like this a lot less.
They should really just slow pan over some of the city/dungeon art and call it a day. I’d buy it.
yes
The mechanic is good and gets more interesting the further into the game you are. As stated above, makes grinding a breeze. I found the battles consistently interesting in the first game.
The city designs / style in these games is so brilliant. Frankly if I was them I wouldn’t advertise anything else. Lovely artwork, I’m onboard just for that. Maybe I’ll get around to Bravely Second finally before this drops.
Well that’s good to hear, hopefully they will continue to do so if this free one is as good as Fahey thinks it is.
Lots of personality in these. Especially love the flamingo hex-a-gone drawing. That would play well if they ever did something like a Splatfest and go for a nighttime party vibe.
Same thing happened with the joycons though and PS4's touchpad, though.
The NES came out in America 35 years ago. I don’t think any games that came with that system are any longer an apt comparison. Perhaps Wii Sports, which also sold incredibly well and has lots of gameplay hours, would be a better comparison.
Well no wonder he’s in Smash.
In fairness that Belgium side was really good and later beat the England team in a game that they did (presumably) want to win. The Belgians were #1 in the world for sometime this year, no? (Although they did ironically lose to England a few weeks ago!)
Plugged in pretty consistently for something like 15 years, and still going strong! My friends and I still play Battlefront 2 a few times a year. My franchise mode save on Madden 2005 up there is something like 13 years old and still works.
Disagree. FIFA and PES have additional pay-to-play freemium models already within their $60 games, they’re making the in-game purchase money, too. I’m gonna assume the high-paid finance people working for these companies have a better idea of the financial picture than us.
Fair. A procedurally-generated asteroid belt type-thing could be very interesting. They’d have to be very particular, though. Dead-ends or running into random smaller asteroids would be big annoyances.
