It’s my guess that Colbert is relying heavily on his improv training in that interview, as Adam, understandable though it may be, is just not giving him anything to latch onto. His answers are accurate, yeah, but they’re all really short and don’t expand on the point.

This is the ideal intersection. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

I really hope that they do it well. The books have such an amazing world in them fully realized, and the story is gripping. I think the show could be great because the books were not dependent on the admittedly great writing style.
