Wow, pretty, too bad they surely cost more than all of my cars combined. Each.

Nice try Yuri, just get the Prowler already

These are the Boomers and Gen Xers who are Mopar stans but also probably too cool for a Mustang or Chevy, and not rich enough to buy a Corvette.”

The corvettes have been much roomier than the s2k, especially since they put the trans in the rear in the c5.

Why not two cars? Get your sedan, and a beater truck from craigslist that you will then sell in a year or two and lose no money on when you are done with it. Or keep it forever cause it will inevitably be more reliable than the German sedan you will buy.

You know if they didnt put the camo on it, noone would have caught this photo.

I hate how everyone is getting so high and mighty, as if they would never use launch control on public roads on their lambo if they could afford one.

Is there any info on % of parts shared with the model 3? The headlights and front bumper look identical which makes me wonder if they are shared, and if so, what else is shared.
This could be a huge $$ saver for tesla to use parts x-platform.

It would be a ‘frunk’ if the rear trunk was called ‘runk’

The Camaro needs better visibility, T-Tops, and a hatch. Then itll be a proper successor, and they can do with the ‘vette whatever they want. Make it a million dollar Bugatti fighter, who cares.

There are plenty of mid engine cars under $100k, and they are Italian and German imports. Mid engine doesn’t make it any more expensive, its usually the full carbon tubs, low production, and not sharing enough parts across the platform that makes those cars expensive.

But the supra was auto only and doesnt have a bulletproof toyota motor.

The wheel wells and backspacing on these doesnt allow you to fit deep dish 3 piece hella tight wheels yo.  Seriously though, the stance and wheel options on this gen are limited compared to the clown shoe.

Do they really need a “killer” of a car that sold less than 500 units last year?

Its about getting butts in seats of tesla products. Ive heard many times “dont drive one, itll ruin other cars for you”. If you get in the seat of a low end, low margin one, then you might turn others to buy their higher end products. Same reason mercedes has a A-C class, bmw has a 1-3 series, audi had an a1-3.

Sure, but noone making new cars is competing with an “old corolla.” The guy who wants the old corolla isnt a buyer of a new car you can make a profit on. I think the model 3 can compete with a new high end civic when you add up maintenance costs(fluid and filter changes) and gas.

I know, not my money, let the dude do what ever he wants...but I really wish he didnt chop up a targa.  Any other 911, I would be the one beating back naysayers with a “not your money, if you dont like it, make him and offer on his car and bring it to stock.” but those targas have a soft spot for me

You cant see out of the damn thing.

When we look at “like for like” cars with mid engine and front engine, we can compare a miata and a toyota mr2. 2005 base model mr2 was 25k, base 2005 miata was 22k. It is within the same margin, still competitive in price. 2005 s2000 was 33k base.

The new GT was contracted out, not made in house by ford.  Hence the limited production.
