Another engineer working for a prominent steering supplier, who also wished not to be named, did layout some more shortcomings of steering boxes. He began by describing how sloppy steering boxes a be, and how they can contribute to the dreaded “Death Wobble” that has ailed Jeeps since 1941:”

You have to look a where this persons dealership is, and treat each state as its own “country”, because many of our states are larger than most countries. We have actually done twice as many tests as the next leading country, and we have done 5x the testing that South Korea has. I think we can all trust American

You would get a kick out of r/askcarsales/
Its incredible how quickly they go from “the customers are hostile, we just want to give them what they want and they dont trust us” to “we really fucked this one guy on a deal” or “I wont even talk to someone with the last name Patel”.

I also watched John Ward on JRE.

Ask jeep how many diesels they sell compared to their v6 and come back to edit your post.

Didnt even look at the price. It would have to be less than the cost of parting out the wheels. I dont know if it would even be worth it then because of the embarrassment of having it sit in my driveway.

Im sure its technically a nice price.  But its a nice price in a way that a maybach would be a nice price, sure the asking is great, but any small issue will be a bank breaker for someone with a 10+ year old sport/luxury car budget.

Way to make “stock” cars even less stock.

You cant get an electric motorcycle for 25k.

Agreed, crackpipe at this price, but it would be a good 12k car to clean up. At 19k+ it would need to be in much better shape including no major body damage, working dash, fix that flattened seat.

100Lb engine? This has to be a troll.  A motorcycle engine is more than 100 pounds.

This is actually an argument to only wash your car once, right before you sell it.

Perhaps the next cars and coffee can be done at a drag strip with open runs all day, and a drift box for attendees, but that will make things expensive and complicated not to mention the lack of drag strips in most cities. Maybe just close the exit street from through traffic and only let one car leave at a time.

Videos arent close to the real thing. Mics and speakers dont pick up on the range of sounds that engines make. You dont get the smoke and smell of rubber and gas. Like most things, its just better in person.

Am I the only one here that loves seeing the burnout and drifts? I dont like to just look at the cars, I love to hear them and see them flex a little.

That possible solution is mentioned in the article.

The LS7 stock has a 7k redline. Look at the c6 z06 and the z28 camaro.

SS is closer to M5 size. I would consider the Camaro closer to the M3. The v8 M3's contemporary Camaro achieved EPA 16/24.

You can get a stock LS7 to 7k with way more torque and power.

For 7k you can get an LS3 engine and trans from ebay with warranty.  The expensive part is “plugging it into a car”.
