That was seriously well done...and the interior shots were all C5 Corvette! I saw the pedal first then made sure to pay attention every time they flashed to the ‘driver’, totally C5 Vette console, radio, instruments, etc. Cool!

That was fun! (And makes for a nice proof of concept too.)

Now playing

Let’s get all the Millennials and Get Zers out of the room for a bit so we Get-Xers can relive some ZZ Top awesomeness.

Generally speaking, if you’ve lost power, your car still works.

Agreed. The fact that nearly nobody has an AM radio anywhere but in their car and that it might be the last lifeline in the event of something tragic - it seems like a reasonable expectation that all cars would continue to have it.

First of all, I always take cost estimates like those with a large grain of salt. “3.8 billion dollars between now and 2030" parceled out over an estimated 85 million cars sold between 2025 and 2030 (17 million per year) is about $45 per car. Not the end of the world. Also not the use of the word “could,” not “would.”

I’ma suggest that you could easily call this “David’s Law” in honor of former Jalopnik writer and terminal jeep hoarder David Tracy. If y’all recall, it was legal for him to have cars in the yard of his rental (!) until he pushed his hoarding a bit too far and the city was like, “no, that is not what we meant and you

Ones I’ve seen don’t look bad. I did see one get towed late at night. Made me kinda sad.

Wat some people say patina looks beautiful. The statue of Liberty for example is patina from the copper in its bronze, and I think it looks nicer. Patina is a natural barrier that protects the metal.

That’s not fair to gas grills, the panels on mine are straight and it won’t try and remove my fingers or slice my leg open

I give you this stunning POS in Neon Green! Anne Arundel County, MD...

This is more analogous to a full PPF wrap on a normal vehicle, or it would be if there was any paint on this thing to protect. But I suppose it serves the same purpose.

Only if you overpay someone to do it for you.

Judging by the CTs I’ve seen in my city, it seriously only take a few weeks for it to look like said gas grille.

So, about two weeks then?

Where the hell are his parents, and why isn’t he in school/at home under lockdown?

Even here in Sweden i would say the 1963 SAAB 92h is quite obscure. I remember reading about it in a classic car magazine as a kid and falling in love with the thing. it is basically a Saab 92 with a caravan body ontop. production numbers are 1. then there is a 1965 SAAB 95h that is the same thing once again but now

I am a Swede who is not into American ironmongery yet even i know the mustang SVO.
