I’m no sociologist, but I think people engage in these activities because they think the odds are low of getting caught, or they don’t fear the repercussions if they *do* get caught (or both).

We’re moving past the days where fear of punishment is a deterrent. I don’t know how to fix that.

Newer policies have the cops pretty much neutered. I can’t speak to the cases of car takeovers, as you’d think they’d be able to blockade around these things if they had caught wind of it in advance, and arrest everyone involved (maybe I’m naive, there).

But I have family that are cops in Nashville, and they have a

Lol what is this revisionist history. I don’t own Apple products and that will probably continue but this completely ignores how much better the iPhone was at the time. BB had their own thing going on and they were doing well, but I had tried multiple touch screen phones before the iPhone and they were mid at best. It

If you think the iPhone is ‘half-assed’, you are not a serious person.

Classic case of no one knowing what the words “sports car” and “entry level” mean. The Miata and GR86 are the only new cars that fit the bill. BMW 4 series? Go home internet, you’re drunk.

Also, what kind of losers travel so little that they are in the security lane for poors (non TSA Pre) and have to take off their shoes?

Million dollar idea; TSA silicone tray inserts. $35 or a 2 pack for $50.

A bunch of fuckhead influencers slowing down the line standing around taking pictures of their garbage is exactly what we need at the airport. Just when you thought influencers couldn’t get any worse, here we are.

As they’re currently implemented? Worthless.

As for future potential? I can see some options.

Thinking outside the box, here:

How much longer do we actually need a center display? Doesn’t the concept seem a little dated?

Driver displays have gotten larger and more customizable than ever. And can mostly be controlled

They weren’t in the study. Neither were Jag, Alfa, or Maserati even though they’re all still pretty mainstream brands with plenty of used stock out there.

How is it possible Land Rover didn’t make this list?  Did they break down on the way?

I honestly didn’t know this. I thought they were just a brand that was known for safety, that you bought when you didn’t want to spend Benz/BMW money on a European car, but wanted the niceties of those, and what I’d assumed was the perceived reliability also. Speaking of, when I think of “reliability” as being applied

Cool and all. But this car just never made any sense to me. All the gorgeous looks of a Mark 4 Jetta with the anonymity of it too. Paired with an overly complex but not all that powerful engine. For way too much money. I mean, as a technical exercise it’s cool and all. But man, I wouldn’t touch that thing with a 10

The horrendous build quality absolutely ruins it for anyone that’s used to Toyota/Lexus build quality. The interiors fall apart and wear out quickly, they have extremely poor fit and finish, and they look terribly cheap and chintzy outside and inside. If you’ve ever rented one or been in a taxi Tesla look at all the

I’m probably going to get a lot that won’t agree with me, but I’m just going to throw it out there.

The irony since Musky Rat Balls is on the spectrum. Might be trying to take back the word. Own it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, we do think you are that stupid.

AH, so if  ourse he did. He also blocked Ukraine's counter offensive by way of blocking starlink - an item he was, and still is, war profiteering from.

Based on Musk’s track record for decision making and self awareness, yes, I absolutely would think that he would donate it to a random warlord.  Seems pretty on brand honestly.

Who’s the worst here?  I guess still Kadyrov, but damn is Musk really trying.
