He said "culpability". The NFL fucking hates that word.

Hardwick's story is great. He walked on as a junior at Purdue the year after Brees lead them to the Rose Bowl. He hadn't played football since 9th grade. He told the defensive line coaches he played linebacker and told the linebacker coaches he played defensive line to cover for the fact he knew little about

It's an effort to keep the fans distracted from the enormity and seriousness of the injury.

My assumption is the Marlins started barking at him and he's yelling back, along the lines of "that's fucking bullshit you think I would do something like this on purpose."

Marlins announcer blatantly not knowing that rule that if you swing on an HBP, it is in fact a strike. This has happened to Anthony Rizzo like three time this year.

He screamed at the dugout after they screamed at him. He was visibly upset that his pitch injured Stanton, and the Marlins yelled at him like it was intentional. How would you react, full of adrenaline playing in an athletic competition that you devote your life to, in the middle of a contested playoff race? It could

It's fairly obvious he's reacting to Miami's dugout.

I doubt he was talking shit. He looked scared as hell. Like, when you're mad and scared and you freak out. He shouldn't have been in the game at all.

That was the color commentator, Tommy Hutton, having the rage-gasm ("That's what you gotta do!!"). As if Mike Fiers was not terribly rattled but was really interested in hitting more Marlins. He's the kind of commentator who reminds me how good I have it when I start getting annoyed by Bob and F.P. calling Nats games.

The Stanton hit was purely accidental. I was watching the Brewers broadcast and they were talking about how Milwaukee has been pitching him inside the entire series. Fiers was pretty shaken up after the hit and that was reflected with the next batter.

I just watched 2 different Marlin players wheel into high and tight pitches. WTF are they doing?

I don't think either one was remotely intentional, but he was obviously too shaken to be out there on the mound. Can you eject a guy just for safety?

actually, you're the moron, attributing the Marlins player yelling at the first base ump to Fiers.

Does anyone else think the Marlins play by play is the biggest idiot involved in this whole thing? Apologies if it's the color commentator. I mean the idiot urging grown men to fight each other over a horrible mistake in a baseball game. I understand the players getting fired up, especially after Fiers yelled at the

You think he started screaming spontaneously? He was obviously getting shit from the Marlins dugout, and he responded appropriately, because you'd have to be a complete idiot to think he was throwing at Johnson intentionally.

The only problem here is the asshole running out of the dugout.

pretty sure that was mcgehee and directed at the ump (since fiers was turning his head back and forth when it was said). fiers thought mcgehee was yelling at him. the bench thought that fiers was trying to start something. it was a mis-communication.

That was McGehee.

God, sports have SUCKED lately, huh? And I'm not just talking about Stanton here, which for sure, is the worst part of this... but the Marlins announcer saying "LET'S GO" about the fight? What a psychopath. Blood boils. Gonna go back to selling my fiancee's old Pandora bracelet charms on eBay... GAH.
