It's not normal, but I don't know if we can say it's not common. Looks like there's cause for a study to determine just how common it is.

That doesn't make any sense to me. You're saying it's up to the interviewees to make up for the deficiencies in the methodology of the study, intrepreting what the researchers want, and then providing the answer based on that interpretation.
I agree, BUT, are you saying there aren't women out there that are just intersted in money? Because it's also absolutely true that it's easier to date when you're a guy when you have money than when you don't.
Okay, sounds like yet another horrible corner of the internet then!
Yeah, proportionality is key. It's upsetting to see a lot of black men talking about Ray Rice missing that element, considering how many black men are shot dead in an egregious lack of proportionality to whatever it was they were doing.
Umm...I'm pretty sure the preferred option is not being hit in the first place.
Yeah, I mean, is it done playfully? Was it one solitary incident? And how do you factor the range between pushing and threatening with a gun?
Apparently throwing popcorn at a woman = abuse.
Right here. Never, not once, ever. Nor would I ever. At least, not violently, just playfully, which shouldn't count if you're assessing abuse.
Yes, we need new statistics, because people do these things—pushed, grabbed, or shoved; threw something—playfully. And they are a far cry from hitting someone with a clenched fist or threatening them with a lethal fucking weapon.
Actually had something very similar happen to me in college. Was making out in my girlfriend's car, she happened to be white, me a POC. Cops asked us to get out of the car and asked me for ID, said they were concerned about date rapes. I obliged, because I'm not confrontational, but we were doing nothing wrong, I…
Wow, that picture brings a tear to my eye. Heartbreaking, especially since this all comes from what was otherwise a beautiful moment of people expressing their love for one another, regardless of their different backgrounds. And these asshole cops have to ruin it.
Different guys have different preferences, just as women have their own. If someone made certain physiques a requirement for them (as many people do) then that;'s messed up, but there's no use being with someone like that anyway.
BINGO!
The amazing thing is, this article was taking apart some guy who was just very proud and very happy to have his daughter. Does he ever say that he treated women poorly before having a daughter? No. Is he likely exaggerating all of the things he didn't know before having a daughter, in order to play up his fatherly…
Yeah, I didn't get that twisted logic either.
Looking for someone with similar interests is a no-brainer but women tend to have specific requirements for things they want their potential partners to do, from yoga, to playing an instrument, to having a pet.
No problem listening to women. I have a problem listening to the crazy ones. Especially the crazy ones that are also racist, such as yourself.
Yeah, there's a widespread belief here that men aren't capable of empathy, so the women who believe that continue their self-fulfilling prophesies of dealing only with men that don't care about women—only to turn around to say "men never care about women!"
Ummmm...no. Speaking from experience, that's just not true.
