I research like a complete and total nerd.
I teach PreK and this year I gave a tour to a perspective student and his parents. Everything was going well until the mother asked us about our vaccination policy.
I agree, but I have gotten into underlining and book marking things I might want to get back to which has helped navigate.
I was a passionate, devoted paper book reader. Loved the smell the feel. Then I tried a friend’s kindle. It was amazing. I was able to completely disappear into the book. It was light, easy to use. Looked beautiful. I haven’t looked back. For me, there is a huge difference between a dedicated book reading device and…
The day I discovered pluots was one of the best days of my life. These little balls of fruit crack are so goddamn good. The only bummer is that the season for them here in the Northeast seems pretty short. I guess they aren’t popular enough to fly in at other times of the year?
I find the word search function delightful. Can’t do that with a paper book.
I agree! I love reading on my kindle and I hate reading on my phone/kindle fire.
I’m in Australia :(
I have strong fruit opinions and I’ve also been drinking a little bit of Afternoon Wine so I made my own version of this xkcd chart and am sharing it now. Please note that I share your opinion about plumcots!!
I want to try a pluot! I’ve never seen them before o.O
But bananas are the easiest, no washing required. If I want fruit in my mouth the fastest nothing is speedier than a banana.
OMG I had pluots for the first time this year (recent California transplant) and was totally blown away. Absolutely the best fruit in the world.
All fruit is basically just sugar water, thus I made the decision to replace all fruit in my diet with chocolate years ago, and never looked back.
I fucking love a Hostess Fruit Pie.
You’re correct, stone fruit are without a doubt the best. Driving to the beach every year, a required stop is Clanton, Alabama, where we pick up a bushel basket of the most amazing juice-running-down-your-chin peaches plus a three-scoop cone of the best peach ice cream you’ll ever eat.
this is great, but you almost need some relativity regarding if something is in season or unripe. Like, a banana is a banana, and pretty reliable so long as its not green or brown.
Peaches and pomegranates, and blackberries and blueberries. And cherries! So many people here afraid of juicy flavor!!
Yeah, but what if they’re covered in chocolate?
If you have sworn off apples because of red delicious and granny smiths, do yourself a favor and grab galas, pink ladies, and honey crisps. They cost a bit more, but you’ll have an insanely delicious and healthy snack for every day of the week. Apple slices with peanut butter is one of my top 3 favorite snacks.
