Speaking of cocaine-binged but beloved, remember when Sean O'Neal worked here?

I thought Cujo and Tommyknockers were King’s coke books? Cujo being the “holy shit I should always write like this” book and Tommyknockers being the “okay maybe I just have a problem” book.

Since it doesn’t get covered anywhere, using this space to say this season of Bad Batch was excellent. Definitely check it out

Yeah, it’s jarring that Bad Batch airs the same day and one can see the difference in quality every week. Ill keep watching mandalorian, because spacecowboy, but I really look forward to Wednesday evening tv because of bad batch.

Yeah, my own thought was “NO WAY they put this much work into Zeb’s model for just a walk on cameo.”

“You, Bo Katan, must reunite all the stray Mandalorians out there and bring them here, so they can join a cult that doesn’t let them take their helmets off.”

I’ve been noticing more and more another drawback of shooting on StageCraft. Any time there is a group of people shot together, they take up roughly the same amount of space as the size of the StageCraft “stage” is a limited size. The Turtle Lake beachfront, the Nevarro refugee group (they even walk very slowly so

Zeb (!!!) was probably CGI because they couldn’t get his established range of expression using prosthetics and puppetry. Most of the “aliens” have visible human actor eyes or are just emotionless puppet heads (Trandoshans, Mon Cal.) Zeb’s huge yellow eyes would be a lot for a puppet to carry.

Well, would you look at that, turns out they didn’t just randomly decide to focus an entire episode on Dr. Pershing for literally no reason like a whole bunch of people were whining about. Who would have thought?

Wick’s reluctance to reenter this world, based on reverence for the memory of his wife, also brings some pathos to the franchise. Yes there are scenes where he’s in righteous vengeance mode, but mostly he just wants to be left alone and can’t until he’s cleaned out everyone who wants something from him, or him dead.

Yeah, you can come across a lot of hateful Masculinity Influencers on Instagram, all trying to sell you some rhino horn boner pills or classes on how to insult women and open up dropshipping companies, and they gravitated towards images of John Wick for a while as meme fodder. And on the surface, it makes sense: He’s

I never really thought about it, but Keanu has always been a great example of a very masculine man without the toxicity. He’s a good guy to look up to, and I do. I’m also in love with Timothy Olyphant.

Getting straight men to clutch their pearls over an essay about a movie franchise is the Lord’s work. And highly entertaining.

I, also, want to go see Lance.

What the fuck. Terrible. This dude was chiseled from granite as recently as 6 months ago. What happened?

I cackled like a hyena when Ghostface’s “Wha—?” got cut-off.

I was amazed by the first movie’s side plot about Billy’s birth mother. Both that it was a dark but realistic place, and that they handled it so sensitively. It was an odd fit with the tone of the movie but paid off for me.

while adding more action, bigger set pieces, and even more darkness (both literal and figurative).

meg white is a terrible drummer’ is the kind of hilariously backwards opinion you usually overhear a teenager saying in line at starbucks

Great movie. Lots of fun.
