oh btw I know it's not hip-hop but Jai Paul's cameo in Old Man and the Tree definitely deserves a mention here

man I’m gonna miss this show, there was nothing else quite like it and probably never will be. Robbin Season especially will go down as an all-time great season of TV
this was an A+ episode for me. one of my favourites in the whole show. just felt like one last showcase for Brian's incredible facial acting and performance as Al
Darius wasn't in the episode, I'm assuming Lakeith was busy with one of his many projects which explains his relative absence from s4. he will be in the last episode though, there's scenes from the trailer with Darius which haven't showed up in the season yet
funnily enough, the three actors mentioned first here (Kohli, Parker and Karen Gillan) all had significant roles in Mike Flanagan projects, though I can’t recall any of them sharing a scene together
Deadstream was so fucking good!
I hope this at least puts BTH in contention for more leading roles because his work in Atlanta is unbelievably good
I mean he's saying that because it was apparently an idea that, however obvious, clearly didn't occur to the people who made the terrible McConaughey movie. if there's anyone who could make a mostly faithful adaptation of this work, it's probably Flanagan
....it's not small.
I don’t think budget was necessarily the problem that led to the very weird format of these specials. COVID really mucked up the filming of Flux, like to the extent that they had to cut several episodes and just salvage the content into the 6 we got, which is the reason Once Upon Time and The Vanquishers are just…
Spyfall for me is a phenomenal episode 1 completely let down by its second half. the complete lack of pay-off or even resolution to most of the major storylines frustrates me more than anything else. great introduction to Sacha’s Master but that’s my only real takeaway as a whole
it was a mess, for sure, but it was a fun and watchable mess which definitely tops most of Chibnall’s era. there were a few moments in here (5/Tegan conversation, that Mandip/Jodie scene, the Master taunting Tegan and Ace about their lives and a few others) that remind you he can actually write a damn good scene and…
he also got the best damn episode in the history of the show so that’s not too shabby
comin’ in hot with a bold take no-one’s ever had before, wow
H20 this low is insane. you’re gonna put it below Kills, one of the worst movies anyone’s seen in the past few years?
I’m so bummed about The Owl House’s premature cancellation. it really found its feet/figured out the tone with s2, would’ve loved to see where they went next
is The Signal streaming anywhere? want to check it out
Bruckner is one of the more interesting voices in horror at the moment imo. really looking forward to what he does next - Hellraiser was about as good as reboots can get, but I'm hoping for a proper follow-up to The Ritual and The Night House
seems like DGG has come to the correct realisation that Season of the Witch was the best Halloween sequel
s6 is a top 2 Community season. I will not elaborate on this
