this is one of the better stories to come out of reddit, I hope the adaptation keeps the end-story realisation that the narrator was kind of a terrible person who did some very bad things all along, it’s a great twist.

he looks like he smells like stale ranch doritos
that all-too-brief period of McCoy’s last two seasons is a contender for my favourite in the whole show. amazing character development for both leads, the dynamics and diversity of the stories was amazing, enough mystery coming back to the character of the Doctor to make him genuinely threatening again without…
thinly related but Remembrance of the Daleks is one of my all-time favourites, so much good stuff
why do Simmons and Daisy both have future sci-fi space hair, even though their hair was the same when they literally went to the future?
Self Control is the highlight of the whole damn show, and a perfect episode of TV
only one of those bands gave us “Motorcycle Drive-By” so that’s a bad ranking
I liked him a fair bit in that Ryan Gosling-directed movie (which I assume has the distinction of being the only movie to crossover stars from Doctor Who, Agents of SHIELD and Saoirse fuckin’ Ronan) but yeah, he’s just not getting the roles he should be getting (edit: which is a shame as he was the best Doctor)
it’s the end of the world as we know it, to paraphrase a popular fuckin’ Bangles song
funny bc the Weezer album is better than this lol
just remember to every day, once a day, give yourself a present
a Twin Peaks username quoting Cornetto Trilogy movies, I think you’re my new favourite user
I’d say Hot Fuzz definitely has some horror sequences (or horror-parody sequences, whatever) too. like Nicholas first arriving at the hotel to find the hag at the counter or when he first finds the circle of villains in black cloaks chanting menacingly. yeah I’m sure Edgar can pull this one off
Seventeen by Sharon Van Etten has already won the whole damn year
the opener on this album is absolutely goddamn amazing
what’s amazing is she almost topped it with this new one! I’m only one listen in but the level of confidence and experimentation is just incredible
Are You There? is so damn good that she should always be having a moment
let me rephrase - I like him more in that movie than I do in any other movie I’ve seen in him, so I said it was my favourite Jackson performance as a way of adequately expressing that feeling
I agree - a lesser actor would have turned the “they called me Mr. Glass” line in Unbreakable into some villainous declaration of triumph or something, but the way he delivers it with a mixture of desperation for himself and like, near-pride for creating David Dunn is kind of incredible. it’s one of my favourite line…
Unbreakable is still a wonderful movie, and it has strong contenders for my favourite Willis and Sam L. Jackson performances in it. Obviously we’ll never get anything on that level again, but I found Glass really enjoyable and its best moments recalled what makes Unbreakable so good
