Do you have any academic and/or therapeutic support? That sounds tough!!

I only know you’re not me because 1) We didn’t have a TAG program at my teeny high school, and 2) Things started going south for me in 7th grade math. I made it through college because “D” stands for “Degree.” Solidarity Now, pennylou!

I hope you feel OK about that. After I was diagnosed with ADHD and started researching it, a lot of my mom’s behavior made much more sense. She’s an awesome person, but a lot about her perplexed me as a kid.

I’m curious how you’re so sure that your non-TBI students’ problems stem from “nurture.”

That was my first thought when I heard this on the radio this morning: generally speaking, girls are taught to get along and be nice, while “boys will be boys.”

I hear you. I struggled in school and thereafter (until I was 46) from undiagnosed ADHD. I grew up in the ’70s and early ’80s, and it never occurred to anyone that that might be the problem. Instead, I was just lazy and spacey and (my favorite on report cards) not working up to my potential.

Mdouchin wasn’t rattled in the slightest. Parliamentary procedure is high school student council–level stuff (or at least that’s where I learned it.)

I enjoyed it because it didn’t end with Bob shooting up the office.

You misspelled “KILLARY.” /s

So it’s win-win, then!

Shingles? Nooo! And let me guess—you’re not old, either. I’ve had two friends in their 40s come down with it this year. I hope your case is mild and brief.

I wish I could give you extra stars for being in a culinary history book club (??!!!❤️)

I’m so glad things didn’t go across that line, and that you were thinking of your daughter’s well-being above all else.

“This is heartbreaking. Life is heartbreaking. People have to learn to deal with the heartbreak.”

Où sont les guillotines?

“Sure don’t want to hurt no one”? Are you sure you’re thinking of the right guy?

I guess it depends on your social circles? I don’t even live in the state and she’s the only candidate I’ve heard or heard of.

I know. :( So glad ours went down!

Right??? “No, I’m sorry I can’t accept theis position—Jamaica Kincaid [!!!] would be bummed.”

Kara, we’re worried about us! Thank you for all your great writing and for trusting us to be our own arbiters of shade, however unworthy we may be. We will follow you anywhere.
