I believe a lot of people my age (26) like them but cannot justify the price and lack of practicality. A decent Camaro SS is 40k and honestly the camaro’s styling it a bit too targeted at a retro crowd. I actually pulled the trigger on a silver performance pack base mustang GT last year because it was cheap and the

alright man i was just saying you were oversimplifying it by saying “uhh a chevy makes close to the same power so the raptor isn’t special” when the raptor does indeed have a much different powertrain than a normal f150 and significant supension and chassis changes.

a) that wasnt my comment

Ohhh good point because the raptor is totally all about the HP number and nothing else.

I am pretty sure the Raptor figures are still something like 450/450 the updated ecoboost in the normal F150 makes 365. The raptor engine is significantly different.

This was hands down the best thing I have read in the comments on jalopnik for YEARS. Thank you.

nah he’ll be too busy poking holes in the bed

This... totally this, it will be cr-v/rav-4/escape/cx-5 time for a lot of people.

might be waiting a while seeing as scion is dead now....

Move to the midwest, you will be tripping over C7s, in the nice suburbs of detroit I probably see at least 10 a day.

I’m pretty sure if you threw and unlimited class pikes peak car at this course it would annihilate the WRX, not to say the subaru isnt fast it just seems slightly disingenuous to say “fastest car ever at isle of man TT”.

Agreed, if anything all that Le Man really showed us was that the GTs can be very quick (maybe already knew that) and can hold up for 24 hours, which we hadn’t seen yet. It definitely doesn’t hurt that the GTs arguably had the most star studded cast of the GTE field which nobody seems to be mentioning.

True, if the whole sandbagging thing is true it looks like ford was willing to give up their whole season for a win in one race.

Are you actually making a “hur dur merica cars can’t turn” argument about a Ford GT??? really man? how hurt are your feeling right now?

The fords and ferraris were within .1sec of each other lap for lap, it was a turbo vs NA car thing, it just so happens that the fords managed to hold together and ran well for the race.

Heck yes, 2k for a clean well cared for somewhat modern car? And on top of that its somewhat well equipped and the 3800 should be pretty reliable. Sure its kinda dorky but I’d take it over a 90s corolla in a heartbeat.

Well modern ferraris and lambos actually have good build quality, like stated in the article nowadays the premium segment cant get away with this. Also yes actually that was a huge reason the LS initially did so well was that its quality was above the germans and now the germans have excellent quality too probably

Uhh no i wouldnt think so Volvo owns that and its great for them. I wasnt for a minute arguing that they dont do impressively well with safety I dont quite get the point you are arguing I guess.

Yeah but couldn’t you do both at this price point or at least try? It would also improve ride quality and “active safety” ie avoid a crash.

I guess thats true, but at this point especially in a vehicle that costs as much as I am assuming these volvos will I would hope for a nicer multilink in the rear (maybe aluminum and better toe/camber control) and probably a dual pivot front setup for the LCAs with a strut. Both of which wouldn’t sacrifice engine bay/
