I think it’s more likely that he’s always been a jackass, it’s just that his successes on the field sated his need for attention, so he wasn’t as overt about it.

The decision by Roberts to turn to Joe Kelly in the 10th before utilizing Kenley Jansen, a guy who can and has given you multiple innings in relief (despite his best years being behind him), was equally baffling.

It is legitimately terrifying on so many levels that he sees people who criticize him as people who criticize America. Biff the Dipshit cannot process that people who don’t love him still love the country.

And what the fuck happened to the awakening of TV announcers not referring to the DC team as a racial slur? Was that just the flavor of the month sort of thing? Even Deadspin stories refer to them as that racist slur.
