Ain’t just the EPA. Euro5 put incredibly strict restrictions on small bikes... So manufacturers just turfed most of their small bikes, and instead focused on the bigger bikes that had less restrictions to worry about.

We have tons of laws that specifically exempt the three northern territories: Exempting them from this would’ve been incredibly easy, but we chose not to anyways.
Considering the majority of the country relies on Alberta’s over-contribution to the federal taxes (That it receives basically none of in return), that’s a pretty self-destructive attitude.
Oh, you live in any of the northern territories and are now completely cut off from everywhere and everything? No biggie.
The problem isn’t Quebec, Ontario or BC. The problem isn’t even really the Maritimes. The problem is the prairie provinces and northern territories, where going purely electric might completely strand entire communities, to say nothing of the nuisance of being in an area that drops below -50c and tends to be extremely…
I wouldn’t. This thing would shit-kick a Roxor offroad. I would consider the Roxor if it were street-legal, or if I needed the enclosed cabin, but that’d be about it.
It was, like all great engines, designed to circumvent racing rules. In its case, they could only have four cylinders, so it tried to cram as many valves in there as possible. Hence the oval shape.
You mean second-Toronto?
Whatever we did do - we’re sorry.
Nah, oodles of later ones had it still (GT40 and XJR15 are two right off the top of my head).
Yeah, I’m sure this will go over like a lead balloon. For me to get to the next closest province is currently impossible with the overwhelming majority of electric vehicles on the market. Not just obscenely slow and frustrating - out-and-out impossible. For my business, I routinely find myself driving two provinces…
But still a hell of a lot less than most offroad vehicles. If you need to go cheaper still, buy an ATV.
*Adds one more entry to the list of things discouraging me moving to Europe*
Well, not literally every manual RHD car. Many racecars had their shifter to the right, even with the driver on the right-hand side. Most, not every.
Yep. Always makes me laugh when I can transport a gasoline-powered bike without issue, but transporting a lithium-ion bike requires me to mark it as dangerous goods.
For those times where you need to be unnoticeable and noticeable simultaneously.
Cool speed.
One of the preview images Zero sent out to us shows the dash, which seems to have the new Cypher3 OS (The one that’s on the SR/F and SR/S), so if I were to hazard a guess, it’s definitely more upscale that the FXS.
Actually, their question is a legitimate one, because the FXS doesn’t have traction control built in. And they’ll definitely bite you quicker than a similar ICE bike will, because once they spin, they spin fast.
Are they dropping the FXS, which fulfills exactly the same niche? If so, what is the price on this?
