Stupid. I call it stupid.

I didn’t even know there was a stereotype about Corvettes, they’ve always been a great crowd to hang out with (They even invite us wee little Fieros out to their autocross days).
If it’s any consolation, we’re not far off your plan. BC thinks we’re getting to no masks/restrictions by mid-July. We’ve already started walking back certain restrictions, and already people are going just nuts with it. I expect our graph is going to stop trending downwards, and come July, is going to look like a…
It seems to have gotten even worse recently. I’m no longer getting linked to the comments that are responding to me, so instead I have to sort through the entire comments section hoping to find the response.
All I want from the Grom:
It’s the constant deformation that destroys them. A loaded tire has a shorter radius at the contact patch compared with the rest of the tire. As a result, the sidewalls are constantly being flexed, with the frequency increasing with RPM. This wouldn’t have come anywhere close to 385MPH with it actually operating as a…
The math is flawless, read e_is_real_i_isnt’s explanation for why.
This is going to make me sound like a narcissistic Vancouverite, but I had no idea that the country was spelt different to our province.
My Fiero’s engine is an iron block, with iron heads, and it sits even higher than this does. If that doesn’t flip, neither will this.
I had a lifted truck that I used at the end of my contractor days (Which are just awful for loading stuff in to, by the way; A higher bed makes everything worse for workflow). There was more than one occasion where the fastest way up to where I was working was to hop in to my bed, than on to my bed-side, then on to…
Don’t quote me on this, but I suspect they may secure the batteries for exactly that reason.
That would still have tradeoffs (You’d have the same issues with polar inertia that you get with skateboard designs, and you’d still push people “apart”, just horizontally instead of length-wise). At that point, I’d argue the skateboard starts making more sense again.
One massive advantage I could definitely see is agility. Putting the weight in a skinny spot, dead centre of the vehicle would minimize the moment of inertia, allowing this thing to be hilariously flickable. Hell, you could potentially get away with not even running power steering on a performance model.
Eyass.
Hey now, when I used to be a contractor I had a ladder rack that solved that issue perf-

This has to be one of the coolest articles I’ve read here in a while now. Awesome work, Mercedes!
