Trust me, I’m well aware how ridiculous our tax law can be up here.

One thing I want to add in to Tom’s point: When you’ve figured out how much of a budget, treat that as your upper limit, not your starting point. I can’t tell you how many people start looking at $40,000 cars when their budget is $40,000, and then start adding in features they want from there. Don’t do this, because…
If they used load leveling, absolutely. If not, no, you’d still have the same wear per recharge cycle.
Oof, surprised the bike even has a kickstand at that point...
Go after ‘em both.
I’m surprised they didn’t set the policy with diminishing returns as you move to more and more expensive vehicles. Even someone dropping six figures on a car doesn’t need a hand; People debating an entry-level gas car, or an entry-level electric, do.
No motorcyclist does, they’re awful to live with.
Everything about this thing screams “investor bait”, not an actual product.
Incredibly stupid that a tax credit exists for people spending seven figures on a car. They can afford the $3,500, wasting that money on such a car is just taxing the population unnecessarily.
I’ll fess up, I was one of those people. I literally just assumed they plumbed a couple turbos in to a GM LS9. Super cool that they did a unique motor though!
Honestly, I think it’s just a fastback, if we use Fiero rules. The Fiero also had a similar “sail panel” setup, and it was considered a fastback when the ran the length like that.
As others have said: Cost.
Almost assuredly a Huracan/R8 in drag, especially given the AWD, but that’s fine. Again, I’d rather see more naturally aspirated V10 options than less.
I don’t hate it.
I had a grandma give me crap for that the other day on my bike. “You shouldn’t be tailgating!”
People that think they’re above everyone else. The worst ones being those who will drive down the shoulder in bumper to bumper traffic, expecting to be let back in whenever they get to where they want. I make it a personal mission to ensure they stay trapped off to the side when they pull that crap.
No, still firmly in the camp of “fuck that guy”. People trying to do a nice thing don’t deserve to get screwed over like that.
If everyone knows who this bastard is, I’m surprised no one has thought to track the guy down and beat him within an inch of his life, especially considering he’s publicly selling the things.
And typically, the lower the RPM, the higher the energy wasted from increased pressure (And thus friction) between the gears. I agree that parasitic losses in the drivetrain do vary with both engine speed and gear ratio, but the effects are typically ignored, because they add more chaos to the data without clarifying…
