A company doing what pretty much every single individual with mechanical experience said was a terrible idea, may have been fudging the number to appear viable? I am shocked. Shocked I tell you.

Unfortunately, as LinusTechTips showed off, that nonsense works. The stupid reaction thumbnails tend to massively increase viewership compared to more realistic or tame thumbnails.

I believe that’s referring to people who want use it as their sole income source. Which lines up with basically every other full-time job, not all that shocking.

Good. As soon as the learn that nonsense is costing them money, they’ll knock it off.

The Liberal Party (Our version of the Democrats) here literally just had the finance minister face a corruption scandal for putting forth legislation that was laser-focused on propping up his own business. For a more local example to you, that Nancy lady just bought up oodles of Tesla stock, on a government that is

Me with a Fiesta I was looking at. Brilliant car, great reviews, good price and best of all, came with a manual.

I do hope folks start to punish the old-school nonsense like that. I pride myself on letting folks buy whenever they think is the right time. My reward for that attitude is... To be a way smaller dealer than the scummy dealership twenty minutes away. I hate the nonsense some dealers pull, but the market keeps

Yeah, I really don’t get why people think the manufacturer is going to drop below MSRP for them, they’re just giving up the option to negotiate. Which, you can already do with a Factory Order. Have Ford (Or whoever, but I worked for Ford) do up your Factory Order, and pay for it up front. It gets delivered to the

So skip that dealer. That’s the lovely thing about email, you can pretty much copy & paste to fifty dealers in the span of two minutes. Anyone stupid enough to not reply properly just lost a sale.

I think you’re confusing the option to with being forced to. Yes, as you said, you can basically do the entire process over the internet currently (I routinely sell vehicles to people in different provinces, who I’ve never met, and never will meet). But for people that want to come see the whole inventory, check stuff

I don’t even buy $100 shoes, or a cheap-ish mattress sight unseen. No way in hell I’m dropping tens of thousands on something sight unseen.

Yes, in a very clearly black and white situation like that, where there’s zero doubt you’re about to be killed, yes, you’d be protected, even in Canada. My point is, if you’ve got protestors just screaming, banging on your vehicle and trying to break windows and the like, you don’t know if the intention is to get

I don’t know what American law is like, but in Canada, no, you’d definitely be legally responsible if you hurt someone because you thought you were in danger. Basically, you can’t escalate here. Unless the person attacking you/your car was themselves wielding a weapon, using your vehicle as a weapon would be viewed as

Ah, didn’t know that! Learned something today.

Yes, these little buggers sound awesome when naturally aspirated and high-revving. Good old 4A-GE.

Not sure I agree with that. A lot of small cars have yawn-inducingly boring inline-fours. Bigger cars tend to at least get naturally-aspirated V6s, I6s, I5s and V8s.

We had this problem about a decade ago in my province. We found that fining the ever-loving hell out of farms trying to pull that crap was the answer.

Right? It honestly blows my mind someone honest-to-god thought to make this a frigging slideshow.

Yeah. It makes sense for some parts of the country where you could literally just move in to nothingness and make a home for yourself, but it leads to some really funny examples in the cities as a result.

Eh, until I see proof to the contrary, I don’t trust you on it, sorry. I’ve seen Glickenhaus’ posts for years in these comments. The only time I’ve seen him be a jerk to someone is when the other person goes first.
